Seven Louisiana Companies Receive 43rd Annual Lantern Awards

The Lantern Awards annually recognize excellence in manufacturing and public service.

Louisiana manufacturers who combine commercial success with exceptional community involvement were awarded as honorees of the 43rd annual Lantern Awards in February. The 2022 Lantern Award recipients were:

  • Acadiana Region: Cane River Pecan Company, New Iberia
  • Capital Region: Mezzo Technologies, Baton Rouge
  • Central Region: AFCO Industries, Alexandria
  • Northeast Region: Skyjacker Suspensions, West Monroe
  • Northwest Region: Maxim Watermakers, Shreveport
  • Southeast Region: Oracle Lighting, Metairie
  • Southwest Region: Carboline, Lake Charles

Established in 1979 by LED, the Lantern Awards recognize the overall contribution of manufacturers to their communities, including investments in employment growth and facility expansions as well as public service activities with employee participation. Since the program's inception, more than 330 Louisiana manufacturing companies have been chosen by Louisiana's Regional Planning and Development Districts to receive the awards.
